Simple Things...

I absolutely love my neighborhood's maillady. We don't have normal mailboxes, but rather boxes next to our house's front doors. First of all, she's wonderful and always delivering my mail, and, let's say that's a lot with the free samples I request. 

Most of all, I love how she is so sweet to my doggy! About two years ago when I moved in, she saw me unpacking boxes on my porch and got to say hello to Bailey. Ever since then, she has always left him a "bone-bone" with my mail. Usually it's on a chair in my front porch. And, Bailey is trained to go get it after we go for our walk.

It's my first home as a big girl, but, I enjoy the simplicity of a nice maillady. Ever so often, I will buy a box of Milkbones with coupons or extra Register Rewards/CVS bucks and write her a note from Bailey to thank her... but... pretty much, it's the simple things in life!

Sweet Treats

Grab me some MILK! I got free cookies! So, in my adventure to freebie-couponing land, I've always maintained the safety issue, making sure I never disclose information, or get tempted by "freebie" deals that seem too good to be true. I always reference couponing or freebie blogs with a wide fan base and good reputation to stay scam free. 

Well, a few weeks ago I saw a post about free Mrs. Fields cookie tin! You had to refer 3 friends to the program. Your treat tin was not contingent upon your referrals making any purchases or sign-ups or anything. I referred my other "personalities" to check out the deal and see how "far" they were pushing it. Turns out, it was just a simple "Hey, Amanda thinks you should try Mrs. Fields!" Refer 3 of your friends and get a free tin. Well, since signing up my other personality e-mails ;) have not gotten any additional sales pitches from Mrs. Fields. I wish I would have actually forwarded this to my couponing friends so they could join the fun, but I was overly cautious.

And after getting home today, I grabbed my mail, walked my dog, and his little sniffer found a nice box on my front porch! I open it up and take a peek! Free cookies! I am always skeptical about some deals... and I know people say never accept candy from strangers... but this is a pretty neat incentive. Could be some government-sponsored terrorist movement (Come to the Dark side, we have cookies!) but, if you don't hear from me... well... ;) I checked the Mrs. Field's website, and of course, due to overwhelming response, they aren't accepting any more referrals. But, this should be motivation for you to follow some fun couponing/freebie blogs on Facebook or check out the deals on these blogs from time to time. :) And get free cookies! As always, there are perks to couponing, but in the year plus of couponing, I've never had a bad sample/freebie experience. Maybe a follow up e-mail saying freebies were exhausted, here's a discount, but hey, beggars can't be choosers! But, I've enjoyed many of the samples I've had.

Until then, I'm gonna eat my cookies. :)

 

 

 

Thrifty Tuesday: Kraft First Taste and FREE Food!

Have you signed up for Kraft First Taste? It's a FREE club for all lovers of Kraft food products! You get a sneak peek at new Kraft products, get to review them and share your opinion! In simpler words, they send you coupons for FREE full-size food products by snail mail and high-value coupons to share with friends! And it's easy as PIE!!!

I have gotten coupons in my mail box that I have redeemed at the grocery store for full size packages of FREE Oreo Cakesters, Digorno 200 Calorie Pizzas, Jello Mousse Delights, Philidelphia Cream Cheese Singles, and more! The coupon is sent to your home address, and is redeemable for a "FREE" product to $x.xx amount at the grocery store. The other coupons they send are to share with family and friends, usually at least a dollar if not more! The "review" process is easy as 1,2,3 also! It is nine short drop-down menu questions evaluating the product and it's benefit to you! It takes less than a minute to complete. The reviews are not required, but heck, if they're buying it I'll tell them how much I liked it! ;)

The sign-up is pretty basic. I always recommend to set up an alternate e-mail account for your couponing endeavors, as those e-mails can PILE UP quick! How the e-club works is that they will send you an e-mail with your special Kraft First Taste Offer whenever they are available. I think so far I have received about one every month! Many of the blogs I follow will make a post when a new offer is available, making it easier to know when there is some free food! You will log in at www.kraftfirsttaste.com and click the "My Offers" tab as seen below. Enter your address and about a week to two weeks later, viola! Coupons in your mailbox.

This isn't that exciting of a deal, but every bit helps! I mean it's one less snack or lunch to buy a month! Who doesn't like free food? Some of the products I wouldn't think to buy or pay to try, but you get to try it for FREE! And I have no complaints about free! :) I've probably redeemed coupons for about $30 worth of yummy snack food! And Kraft knows how to do good food! That's a great impact in my food budget!
